Afrooz Ardestani, MD, MPH, specializes in general, preventative, nuclear cardiology and vascular medicine. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease, adult comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine, and vascular interpretation.
Dr. Ardestani earned her medical degree from Shaheed Beheshti University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the combined program of internal medicine and preventive medicine at Yale University/Griffin Hospital. She also completed her Master in public health at the George Washington University, School of Public Health. She then pursued her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She also completed an additional year of training in preventive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation and lipid management and women heart at Hartford Hospital.
